The Billy Mayerl Society exists to promote the work of Billy Mayerl and other composers and pianists who worked in the same idiom. It issues a magazine, maintains an Archive, promotes public concerts and holds, mainly in a purpose-built music room just outside London, both informal monthly meetings and soirées at which artists are invited to perform. Membership is open to all and the Society has members all over England as well as in Europe, Australia, America and South Africa. Pianists are welcomed and there is an excellent instrument available for them to play on, if they so choose, during the meetings. A virtually complete archive of Billy's scores is held by the Society and can be inspected by the members.
