Sweet William

Class: Original Piano Solo

Published: 1938.

Comment: One of Billy's most popular pieces, the opening has an interesting combination of tune and descant in the right hand, with a lovely lilting feel. In contrast, the middle section isn't syncopated at all. The transitions, as so often, are handled with such ease that one is inclined to overlook the skill deployed.

An autographed copy.
